The Limited Deluxe Edition features 23 songs (an additional 7 songs) including all the original songs performed in the film by Jeff Bridges and Colin Farrell, "The Weary Kind" performed by Ryan Bingham (the theme song heard in the film's trailer and closing credits) and music featured in the film by Waylon Jennings, Lucinda Williams, Buck Owens, Sam Phillips and many more. It is packaged in a special digipack containing a 12 page booklet featuring liner notes, lyrics and photographs. The soundtrack was co-produced by 10-time Grammy Award winner T Bone Burnett. Burnett, who co-produced the soundtrack with guitarist/songwriter Stephen Bruton. Synopsis Four-time Academy Award® nominee JEFF BRIDGES stars as the richly comic, semi-tragic romantic anti-hero Bad Blake, a broken-down, hard-living country music singer who's had way too many marriages, far too many years on the road and one too many drinks way too many times. And yet, Bad can t help but reach for salvation with the help of Jean (MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL), a journalist who discovers the real man behind the musician. As he struggles down the road of redemption, Bad learns the hard way just how tough life can be on one man s crazy heart.

Includes original music performed by the film's stars Jeff Bridges and Colin Ferrell and Texas-bred troubadour Ryan Bingham, co-writer (with Burnett) and performer of the standout closing song 'The Weary Kind (Theme From Crazy Heart)' which draws upon Bad Blake's emotional journey as an alcoholic seeking sobriety.

Hit Soundtrack for a hit movie! March 10, 2010

This soundtrack introduced me to Ryan Bingham, an awesome artist out of Texas. I can really appreciate this original soundtrack and it deserved the academy award that the Weary Kind received. This even has a Lucinda Williams song included, which is a bonus.

I saw Crazy Heart last night and knew from the moment I heard Jeff Bridge's opening song that this was a soundtrack I had to have. Now, country is not typically my musical genre - I range from Fleetwood Mac to Sonic Youth, Bjork to the Rolling Stones, A Tribe Called Quest to Taj Mahal.
Nonetheless, every song throughout this remarkable film touched me deeply. As early as I could this morning, I bought the soundtrack and I have no regrets. For eight dollars, I have twenty-three deeply moving songs and I couldn't be happier. Skip the expensive lunch today; buy this album.
Excellent soundtrack to excellent movie March 7, 2010

I loved the movie and was so pleased to be able to re-live it with the soundtrack. A great mixture of old and new music, ending with my favorite song, "The Weary Kind". And, what a pleasant surprise to hear Jeff Bridges could sing on top of all his other talents!

I LOVED the film, Crazy Heart. Saw it twice and loved the sound track. This is NOT the soundtrack that played with the film. There are tracks on this album that weren't anywhere near the film! If you like the songs that Jeff Bridges and Colin Farrell sing, individually download the MP3 versions.
